Experience

Jamie has spent more than 14 years working in various capacities within the technology industry. He began his career in the early 90's doing freelance design/marketing work. Through some chance opportunities and some great mentors, He found his way into the newspaper industry, first as a writer, then taking on a more technical role, transitioning newspapers and printing shops from negatives and plate burning to the new world of direct-to-plate technology and digital presses.

In the mid to late 90's he shifted focus to specifically target his skills at web technologies and their growing influence within the printing world. Through actively participating in the open source projects like Joomla, Drupal, and OsCommerce, he grew to understand that the Internet is not just another touch point, it was a revolution in how the world would interact with information.

10 years later, he now has an expert understanding of web technologies like PHP, XHTML/CSS, and JavaScript. He participates in multiple open source communities, leads local technology initiatives and seeks out new ways to engage people in the world of technology. Social networks, the semantic web and the revolution of the information age are reshaping who we are and he wants to be part of that change. 

Job Responsibilities

Currently Jamie serves as ringleader for the BriteSparkz Team. His official capacity is as Founder of BriteSparkz, LLC.

Passions

Jamie is passionate about all things web, photography and technology.  He enjoy's spending time with his family and  friends when not hammering away at the next big thing.
